Jerry Goldsmith
conducts the London Symphony Orchestra in a 1989 Digital re-recording
of his classic Western score for RIO CONCHOS plus a magnificent four-part
prologue entitled THE ARTIST WHO DID NOT WANT TO PAINT, for the 1965 20th
Century Fox movie THE AGONY AND THE ECSTASY.
Both RIO CONCHOS and the prologue for THE AGONY AND THE ECSTASY were written
during one of the composer's most creative periods, the 1960's, while
he was working at 20th Century Fox. Many great scores were composed during
this period, including PLANET OF THE APES, PATTON, THE SAND PEBBLES and
many others. This superb re-recording is a must-have for fans of the composer.
