THE PRETENDER: MUSIC FROM THE TELEVISION SERIES is a newly recorded album produced by composer Velton Ray Bunch (QUANTUM LEAP) of his original music for the cult TV Series, THE PRETENDER, starring Michael T. Weiss (DARK SHADOWS), Andrea Parker (JAG), Patrick Bauchau (EARTH 2) and Jon Gries (THE X Files and QUANTUM LEAP).

Nominated for two Primetime Emmys, THE PRETENDER told the story of Jarod (Weiss), a boy genius with a special gift for pretending, who was kidnapped as a child and held prisoner by a secret agency known as The Centre that used him as a human simulator in their clandestine research. Escaping from The Centre more than 30 years later, Jarod searches for clues to his true identity and family. He also uses his ability to quickly become an expert at any subject to right wrongs and exact revenge on the wicked. All the while, Centre operatives led by Miss Parker work relentlessly to capture Jarod, and return him to The Centre. THE PRETENDER ran for four seasons, from 1996-2000.

This new recording contains music from a number of well known episodes of the series as well as alternate versions of the main title theme that were never used in the program. The CD contains 28 tracks totaling over an hour of music.
