This is the imported German CD release of the delicate and tuneful Emmy award winning score Composed by John Williams (Harry Potter, Jurassic Park, Star Wars) for the 1968 West German produced TV Movie version of HEIDI directed by Delbert Mann (Jane Eyre) and written by Earl Hammer, Jr. (The Waltons.) and starring Maximilian Schell (The Black Hole) and Jean Simmons (Willow.)

This CD release contains the original soundtrack recording for the film (Without dialogue overlaid as it was on the US LP Release) and contains many portions of the score that have never been available before.

The music is heartfelt and will remind listeners of the melodic scores of such composers as Georges Delerue ,Henry Mancini, Jerry Goldsmith and John Williams own score for the 1970 production of JANE EYRE.
