This is the original soundtrack to the 1986 basketball film HOOSIERS (aka BEST SHOT) directed by David Anspaug (Rudy) and starring Gene Hackman (Under Fire & Get Shorty), Barbara Hershey (The Stunt Man) and Dennis Hopper (Speed & Waterworld).

The original score for the film was composed and conducted by ocscar winner Jerry Goldsmith (Star Trek & The Omen) and performed by members of the Hungarian State Opera Orchestra.

The CD also features the "Theme from HOOSIERS" arranged and performed by Jerry Goldsmith and his son Joel Goldsmith.
