This is the rousing original soundtrack recording for the 1970 WWII film THE BATTLE OF NERETVA starring Yul Brynner,Franco Nero and Orson Wells

In January 1943 German army, afraid of Allied invasion of Balkans, launched great offensive against Yugoslav Partisans in Western Bosnia. The only way out for Partisan forces and thousands of refugees was the bridge on the river Neretva.

The original score to this film was performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Composer Bernard Herramnn (Cape Fear, North By Northwest & PSYHCO).

The CD contains a never-before-released bonus track entitled "Danica's Theme"conducted by Roland Shaw that has never appeared on any other CD release of this soundtrack.
