Varese Sarabande presents music from the original television soundtrack
to FIREFLY, the 2003 cult television series created by Joss Whedon
(ANGEL, BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER) that has spawned the recent
feature film, SERENITY. The cast of FIREFLY includes Nathan Fillion,
Gina Torres, Alan Tudyk, Morena Baccarin, Adam Baldwin, Jewel
Staite, Sean Maher, Summer Glau and Ron Glass. FIREFLY features
music composed by Greg Edmonson, who has created a flavorful guitar-based
score for the adventures of the crew of the Serenity.
Five hundred
years in the future, there is a whole new frontier, and the crew
of the Firefly-class spaceship, Serenity, is eager to stake a
claim on the action. They’ll take any job, legal or illegal,
to keep fuel in the tanks and food on the table. But things get
a bit more complicated after they take on a passenger wanted by
the totalitarian Alliance regime. Now they find themselves on
the run, desperate to steer clear of Alliance ships and the flesh-eating
Reavers who live on the fringes of space.
Varese Sarabande presents
the soundtrack to FIREFLY, including bonus tracks that are exclusive
to this CD release. Includes the title song for the show performed
